Ice cream freezer & server
This is a classic from yesteryear!! It was originally installed in my building in 1961, and has been out of service for many years ? 20 or so. There are 2 access doors on the top. These doors are 22.5? x 12?. Each hinges in the middle to allow one half to fold over on itself. That allows someone to reach into the cooler to scoop ice cream for cones or shakes. The knobs are serviceable but should be replaced for aesthetic reasons. The seals between the door lids and the unit itself do work, but the end of one is loose. The top, back, of the cabinet has a refrigerated area to hold 10 plastic condiment containers. Each one is 6.5? x 3.625? x 7? (as measured with my trusty Stanley tape). 4 of the containers hold pumps, as marked, for Cherry, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla. 5 condiment containers have lids with built in serving ladles. The fronts of the containers have a cut out to allow for a free standing serving spoon. This hardware is all stainless steel and in great shape. The condiment containers are yellowed with age. One is usable but really should be replaced for a broken edge lip, one more has a deep crack on the inside. Two more have shallow cracks on the top. The rest are OK except for the yellowing.
The unit runs on 110v and IT STILL WORKS. I had it plugged in for 1 hour and it got really cold inside. This unit has a Formica front, that wraps around the sides. I am 90% certain that these Formica panels can be removed and/or replaced with newer looking panels.
The unit is 30? deep x 54? wide x 42? high at the back. The Formica front is about 1? thick.
